Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on LoyaltyCards.io’s website and our apps for iPhone and any other devices and platforms.

Information we collect

New LoyaltyCards.io accounts are created base on your email.

You may add an email address and a password to your account, or remove the email address and password from your account, at any time in LoyaltyCards.io’s app. Email addresses are only used for logging in, password resets, responding to emails that you initiate, and sending notifications that you request. We don’t send promotional emails.

We store information about your podcasts, episodes, and listening progress to sync this information between the website and your devices. We also collect anonymous statistics about which podcasts are most popular to help inform our recommendation engine.

Technical basics

If you enable notifications, we must store a token to send them. We never use notifications for marketing.

If you upload files to LoyaltyCards.io, we need to store them until you delete them.

If you subscribe to a password-protected podcast, we need to store the credentials you provide in order to keep it updated.

We use cookies on the site and similar tokens in the app to keep you logged in.

Our server software may also store basic technical information, such as your IP address, in temporary memory or logs.

Analytics

LoyaltyCards.io’s app collects aggregate, anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app.

Information usage

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.

In connection with the installation and usage of the app, we collect, process and use the data described below to find out which companies, products or other topics you are interested in and which information and offers from our partner companies are relevant for you to be able to use the functions of our app on this basis as needed and to provide you with the most relevant information and offers from our partner companies in the app.

a) Card data: To be able to use the functionality of the application, you must provide your email to create a new account to log in to this application. You should then provide additional information such as phone number, full name, date of birth so we can better understand you and create your card data.

b) Usage data: If you use the app, we collect and save how you use the card (for example, card used, time, number of points).

c) Location data: If you allow the app to access location functionality on your mobile device, LoyaltyCards.io reserves the right to use the corresponding location data (called location based data) for Application design as needed, for distribution related to the location information of stores near you. LoyaltyCards.io only access this data anonymously. Do not use or share additional data based on this location from their respective users. For location-based data, the LoyaltyCards.io app uses GPS modules from mobile devices, IP addresses or mobile network data (mobile IDs) from their respective users.

We also use data previously listed as anonymous for market research and to create anonymous statistics.

d) Registration data: When applying for a new loyalty card, usually your name and your email address and any other mandatory information are needed (basic data). This basic data and further voluntarily disclosed data (for example, telephone number) is collected, saved and used by LoyaltyCards.io within the scope of the registration of the respective loyalty card. The basic data, any voluntary information and, if necessary, their changes (application data) will be sent to the partner company by LoyaltyCards.io for the further processing and issuing of the respective customer card where you apply for the respective customer card. If you have agreed to have your application data forwarded to a partner company, this consent also applies to other customer cards that you apply for through the app. Any transfer of personal data to third parties going beyond this only occurs – except in the case of a concrete suspicion of abuse – if and provided that you have given LoyaltyCards.io separate consent to this transmission. Furthermore, the customer card conditions from the respective partner apply, which are linked correspondingly and you have given separate consent.

e) Interface data: if you have logged into your user account from a card provider through the app, we will collect and save the respective point status and the shared transactions or other offers provided to you (such as card-linked coupons or personalized offers). The respective login data is saved to ensure easy access to this interface or other interfaces in the future where you can also use this login data.

f) Personalized offers: If you consent to the delivery of personalized offers from our partner companies (for example, rebate coupons), we can share your card number with general information about your usage of the app with the respective card provider so that we can send you personalized offers (including card-linked coupons) through the app or through other electronic channels (for example, by email or messenger).

Security

We implement a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication with the app and website requires HTTPS with certificate pinning. Passwords are hashed, not stored, using industry-standard methods (currently bcrypt).

Accessing, changing, or deleting information

You may access or change your information or delete your account from the LoyaltyCards.io iOS app.
